Hand Selected Diamonds and Gems

We begin the process with hand selected diamonds and gems. Our diamond buyer diamond grading is trained by the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) with over 18 years experience in the diamond and jewelry industry. From a parcel of fine diamonds, each diamond is selected for it's color, clarity and ideal cut proportions. The diamonds are all perfectly matched for size down to the tiniest millimeter.

We don't have diamonds or gems in stock, we work only with the most reputable diamond and gem dealers in the industry.

diamondsTo achieve the finest quality and unbiased diamond grading, our highly trained diamond professionals use the most advanced technology available. Prior to mounting we take an additional step and grade each diamond on a Sarin DiaMension proportion grading machine and a Gran Colormeter.

The Sarin DiaMension proportion analyzer provides the most accurate evaluation of diamond proportion measurements. This advanced equipment is used by the most respected gemological laboratories in the world, GIA, and American Gem Society (AGS). Learn more about proportion grading. The Gran colormeter is used to provide unbiased color grading, a key determining factor of a diamond's beauty and value. Our colormeter is set to strict GIA standards.

All our diamonds, including those that are certified by GIA and AGS go through our strict proportion and color grading process, this ensures the finest quality ideal cut diamonds, even the smallest of diamonds in your jewelry piece are hand selected and graded this way.

While precious gems of sapphire and ruby are graded differently, we take the same care in selecting and matching only the finest colored stones. At Diamond Design Co. we do not maintain an inventory, thus we are able to focus our efforts completely on the quality of each piece.

Precision CAD Design Technology

Once the diamonds and gems are selected, the Eternity Ring Video CAD Design Processpiece is designed to exacting specifications for the stones, ring size, and style. By harnessing the power of DG Matrix 3D Jewelry Design technology we ensure a jewelry piece that is created for the exact stone measurements. Ensuring a secure, quality design. An eternity ring, for example, might hold 21 stones, 3mm each, all ideal cut and perfectly matched. Designed to an exact ring size. A rendering, as shown below, can be provided for approval when working on a custom designed piece. The client is able to approve the final design prior to making the ring.

cad-renderOur CAD design software is fully integrated with a wax milling machine. The milling machine is analogous to a solid printer. It cuts a perfect wax mold of the jewelry item. The wax is then used in the metal casting process.

Our casting methods are the most advanced in the industry. Our proprietary methods create the most superior settings available anywhere. We use an induction machine casting process that nearly eliminates porosity concerns and creates a denser cast then other methods, resulting in heavier and sturdier settings. By having our casting process in-house we are able to monitor the quality of every piece.

Lastly, we employ only the finest, professional setters to ensure not only the security of the stones, but flawless channel and prong setting without gaps. We do all the final finishing and polishing until the piece is perfect. We rely on strict quality control at every step for each piece.

We believe jewelry designed and manufactured using these advanced techniques and technologies is far superior to the mass produced jewelry found in the market place. And because we do not have to stock inventory, our prices are well below those found in the high- end jewelry stores.
